Skier Goes on Race Course and Collides with Racer Training
In this funny skiing video of a ski accident, a skier goes onto a race course while a racer is training. The skiers collide in a horrible but funny way and the racer seems to be about to hit the other skier with his ski pole but holds himself back.
This ski video is a textbook example showing why one should stay away from ski racer training courses!
The ski accident in this video was filmed in Poiana Brasov, a ski resort in the Carpati Mountains in Romania. A really nice ski resort very different from the huge ski resorts in the Alps.

Backcountry Skiing in the Glades in Vermont
A great ski video of my favorite type of skiing! Skiing in the woods! These skiers are great and the ski video footage is amazing as they ski through the area I fell in love with skiing, Vermont USA.
As a note from the uploader, there is a small part of the skiing video that is filmed outside Vermont in New Hampshire on Mount Washington, a well known extreme skiing location in Eastern USA.

Heli-Skiing Down Mount Currie Near Whistler, BC
A really great video with footage filmed from a helicopter and helmet cams. A group of expert amateur skiers take a helicopter up Mount Currie, 40km North-West of Whistler, British Columbia, and part of the Canadian Rockier. They then proceed to ski down the steep terrain full of cliffs with excellent camera angels and solid skiing skills.
Watch and enjoy the first person views and experience what it feels like to ski down the very steep slopes of Mount Currie in the Canadian Rockies.

Skiing into Corbet’s Couloir at Jaskon Hole. Guy Gets Injured!
Corbet’s Couloir is the most famous and hardest run at Jackson Hole in Wyoming. It is one of the few slopes to have its own wikipedia article! Here are some highlights:
“Currently rated #4 on the top fifty things for skiers to do before they die, it holds an international reputation among expert skiers, and has been described as “America’s scariest ski slope”
“Entrance into the couloir requires dropping off a cornice with a free fall ranging from 10 to 30 feet (9.1 m) depending upon snow conditions, landing on a 60 plus degree slope.”
So it’s pretty hard. In this ski video, we see the guy skiing up to the ski run, past a big “CLOSED” sign. They chill up at the top and watch a guy ski down it nicely. The camera man’s friend then jumps in, doesn’t look too good. We are then informed that he “yard saled” and see him collecting his equipment. Ends up he has an ACL injury, that sucks. Awesome run though!

Jay Peak 70 inches (175cm) of Champagne Powder!
Some sweet video shots of deep powder skiing in the glades at one of the best ski resorts on the East Coast. The riders know what they’re doing as they fly between obstacles. Can’t stop talking saying good things about Jay Peak, most snow in the East (32 feet!) and lots and lots of crazy expert ski terrain in the woods.
It’s normally hard to get decent video out in the forest but these guys do an amazing job. There’s a close moment in the middle of the video where a rider does a cliff drop in the glades and almost lands on another riders, but nothing happened.
“I love Jay but I’m Not Gay”

Skiing Tuckerman Ravine on Mt Washington in April 2009
Skiing Tuckerman Ravine, a steep skiing area on Mt Washington, New Hampshire, the highest mountain peak in Eastern North America, is a popular backcountry skiers location. There is a pretty long hike up, about 2km in the spring when the road opens and over 5km before. It is very popular in the Spring time, sometimes open till June, as it is less likely for avalanches to occur then and the weather is warmer. At the peak of the season, there can be 1000 backcountry skiers in skiing Tuckerman’s Ravine and jumping off the many cliffs. There is now also a t-bar which can take you about half way up. The area is also patrolled by a volunteer ski patrol during peak times.
In this backcountry skiing video, you follow a group of skiers and snowboarders as they hike up to Tuckerman Ravine. They then film some skiers going down, one of them doing a small cliff jump. They then film their decent as they ski down Tuckerman Ravine and had into the wooded area. I never knew there ware glades in that area.
This ski video provides a great overview of the skiing at Mt Washington for anyone interested in backountry skiing areas.

Backcountry Skiing on a Powder Day in Aspen, Colorado
From the many Colorado ski resorts that exist, Aspen is one of the best. This video shows some downhill skiing in the Colorado’s backcountry in some fresh powder. The terrain is pretty open and looks amazing.

Mad River Glen: Skiing in the Woods
Here is a skiing video of some guy skiing through the glades at Mad River Glen in Vermont. Mad River Glen is one of my favorite resorts and it’s in Vermont. It is a backcountry skier’s heaven as it has plenty of snow and some of the most unforgiving terrain possible all with a “ski it if you can” policy. This ski video is a bit short but the skiing is solid and shows some of the terrain available out there.

Jackson Hole Backcountry Skiing with a Lateral Flip off a Cliff
A sweet ski video with some original tricks. A guy does a lateral flip off a cliff midway through the video, there are multiple front and back flips, and inversions. It is snowing almost the whole time as is coming in Jackson Hole and the power is so deep you can barely make the skiers out at times. Although this is filmed by amateurs but it is better than many professionally done videos and they ski as well as most professionals.
Jackson Hole is a dream for many extreme skiers and is one of the world’s best and most famous backcountry ski resorts in the world. The backcountry is huge, open to extreme skiers and riders, is full of an obstacles, and has many unique areas. Some of the world’s hardest and most extreme skiing terrain can be found here. It is however located in Wyoming which makes it hard to get to but in turn creates a much more wilderness skiing atmosphere when compared to the resort type ski resorts.

1962 Backcountry Skiing in Courchevel, France
This video was made in the 60s with some retro backcountry skiers skiing in Courchevel, in the French Alps. Warren Miller take us back in time, before the days of avalanche transmitters, they used balloons filled with helium as seen in this video. Some of the skiers in this video are not the best, but it’s still an interested view back.
