Tow Skiing Behind a Car in New York City

Crazy Nor’easter storm during the Christmas Holiday in Eastern USA with feet of snow coming down, closing airports and causing general chaos. In New York City, people are snowed in and life slows down. But not for this extreme skier who decides to start skiing down the streets of downtown New York City.

This crazy skier decided to ski down Park Avenue in Manhattan by being towed behind a car and video tapping it! Looks like fun and a great way to enjoy the piles of snow that fell in the past few days. It doesn’t look very safe however, lots of obstacles to run into and the tow skier almost lost balance while skiing on the Park Avenue.

Ski Gliding the Eiger in the Swiss Alps – First Person View

For the first ever ski gliding decent of the Eiger mountain in the Swiss Alps, the ski glider used a helmet cam. This first person view of ski gliding provides for some beautiful shots allows you to experience ski gliding as if you were doing it. The ski video is very still and clear too, pretty rare for a helmet cam.

Skiing down Mount Everest

Watch Yuichiro Mirua as he skis down Mount Everest. He was the first person to do so back in 1975, climbing up to 29 029 feet above sea level and then skiing down 6600 feet of vertical. His skiing is not the best and for some reason he uses a parachute behind him (I guess in case he falls down a cliff), but it’s still amazing to watch. He is one lucky guy with lots of guts to ski down the tallest mountain on Earth. This has to be the most amazing and extreme backcountry that there is on Earth.

EXTREME Ski – Skiing with a parachute

This guy skis around with his parachute open jumping cliffs. He glides around, someitme his skis are touching the snow, sometimes he is in the air at the mercy of his parachute. This is a new level of extreme skiing.
